I worker with a team of two other designers. I was tasked with creating the word mark, visuals for the LCD displays, and mock ups for how the content would be used.

How can I create meaningful environments for individuals to feel accepted and valued for who we truly are?

zombish

The goal of this project was to create a set of images of a zombie character. To create these images I painted the model to give her an aged and sunken look. I then dusted her with flower to make her look pale. I directer her to achieve certain poses, an then shot the images. I edited the images in photoshop to add drama to the images. I made certain areas darker, and edited her face and skin to look more the subject look more weathered.

My name is Cheyenne Meakim. I received my BA in Design Studies with an emphasis in Graphic Design and focus in Photo from San Jose State University. I am continuing by education of graphic design by reading, watching online tutorials, and observing. I am trying to deepen my knowledge of color theory and shape. My artistic role models are Georgia O'Keeffe, Bill Brandt and Margaret Mackintosh.

I am a Manager and Graphic Designer at a start up called Quadra Escape. Part of my responsibilities is to contribute to the marketing team, manage the development of merchandise, and solidify the companies branding. In addition to my day job I am working on an ongoing freelance branding project for Utility Shield.

I enjoy working with and have previous experience with a large range of mediums, and quickly pick up new skills. This past year I have spent my extra time studying and refine my photography skills. I have studied traditional black and white film photography, developing, studio lighting, and digital photo editing. I have experience doing freelance bulk editing for events and have experience working with models.

In my free time I love creating my own content. My personal projects are reflections of my past experiences and how I perceive the world. I am inspired by the natural human form and how it can be captured. I designed my website and branding to showcase my love for outer space.
